The first thing we made were squares that we made into a family afghan.

In researching how to get it there and what was needed, it became apparent the need was extremely huge.

It's nice to be involved in helping and giving people the opportunity to help. We supply yarn to volunteers who aren't able to supply their own.

To celebrate the first anniversary of the adopting in 2003, I decided to knit 100 pieces to send to the orphanage.
