The first phone call I got offering a safe haven was from Larry Hays, and that meant a lot. When you have somebody step up like this administration, and this coaching staff, who puts you in a position where kids feel like 'We're going to be OK,' and you can see it on their on faces. It means a lot and will continue to mean a lot in a way that will probably be tough to be able to explain to people to people who don't understand what we've gone through the last week and a half.

The freshmen are the lights at the top of the tree. We have a really nice team that does a number of things very well.

All we know is what we got from last year's club. Our knowledge of them is very limited.

For a state to recognize the value of these notification systems and allow the use of 911 funds to purchase them is pretty unusual. They are a good addition as long as they don't diminish from the 911 operations.
