The coaches just ask me to be smart and do everything I can to keep myself healthy. They've all really respected my religious beliefs.

They want us to play fast and explosive, ... The thing they emphasize a lot is be a football player. (Coaches say) 'We don't want to slow you down.'

It's a cleansing process. I never feel better than I do during Ramadan because I'm focused. It teaches me self-restraint and discipline.

It's a big opportunity, but obviously not the way I want it with a guy like 'Brich going out. To me, it's a no-brainer to have the surgery. I'm going to do my best to fill the void as far as being somebody the guys can count on.

You kind of get used to it. You condition your body and come up with a game plan and stick with it.

Mike expects us to be the quarterbacks of the defense. He expects us to know what everybody else is doing.

He doesn't have to worry about that. I'll come up and bite you. I'm a soft-spoken guy off the field, but I like to think of myself as the biggest dog out there. If that's what he wants, I'll try to do that more.
