You know you’ve written a good book when even the people who hate it admit it’s entertaining.

I’ve stolen books. They’re the only thing worth taking that don’t belong to you.

I'm more of a meanderer. (i.e. I start out with a plot and then like to wander off and explore. I'm usually forced to return under protest.)

Whatever a person writes comes from them. Whether consciously or unconsciously, it is the sum of their experience being shared. One need not poke at old wounds. Write honestly; the truth will emerge.

Remember, there were dragons long before men came into the world. Why, it was none other than The Great Dragons of Yore who invented the idea of knighthood. Yes, yes, that’s right! Dragons had knights, Kings, princesses and queens long before men crawled out of the muck.

Not being published doesn’t make you a bad writer. Nor does being published make you a talented writer. Enjoy what you do. Criticism will be forthcoming in either case.

It takes hubris to write; and humilty to accept that the world does not care. Love what you do and let that be its own reward.

Noontime was absolutely the perfect time for a duel in the dragon’s opinion as this was also lunchtime, his favorite part of the day. As the saying went, he could kill two birds with one stone.

Dragons were notoriously finicky about whom they ate, and thought it the height of bad manners to be kept waiting by their selected fare.
