It seems now that the place where you see

It's important that he have a circle of people around him that really wants to see him develop as a young man. With the position I have on campus we deal directly with students like Ray who might come from a low-income background, people that need that second chance.

You could feel the people around campus talking, you just got to know, you've got to stick together as a team and we weren't able to do that. There were too many people getting pulled away from side to side and we had too many off-the-field problems.

We haven't really done a good job of understanding the campus and its history. We have some extremely colorful history. All of us have some responsibility in seeing the campus and its culture continue.

Let's put it this way. I was not a campus activist.

Recreational sports help to keep our campus fit because they provide ways for students to get out and stay active.

Getting players on this campus for visits is key for us. We have a very good track record of getting commitments from people who visit campus. If we can get people on campus, see what we're all about and get around our players, we have a good chance to sign any of them.

I hope that students were really excited about what happened today ... I hope that when they go back to campus they don't just keep the experience to themselves, but that they share it with their friends ... take it back to their organizations ... and get involved.

This is really a campus where Dr. King can live.

It seemed like a nice fit; the campus is beautiful. It just felt right.
