The mechanics had more to do with timing and footwork and balance; it's all lower body getting his feet underneath him planting and throwing the football. He's going to fix that up pretty fast.

You usually have an idea of when people are going to use certain defenses and certain formations. But every down and distance, they'll use both. I don't know if I've seen that.

He's working really hard and that's all you want out of him. We're installing new things every single day for a guy who should be getting ready for his senior prom. It's all going to happen really, really fast for him.

In a lot of controlled situations, I can make either guy look good.

Everybody's pretty sad around here. He was our captain and he was a good kid and a great personality. It's just a tragedy.

It is time to take control of it. That is what we are forcing him to do. ..... He still needs to become a much more vocal leader. He needs to take control of this team, not look for somebody else to do it.

This is his first chance to really sink his teeth into an offense and be ready to go. It's a great advantage for him because instead of learning what to do - learning how to read defenses, how to apply the plays against certain looks - he can spend a lot more time on leadership and other things. It takes a lot of time to learn all that stuff.

Your job as coaches is putting your team and players in the best situation. We've tried to do that and the offense has kind of evolved around the players.
