David Noel
In the second round of the 2006 NBA Draft, David Noel was selected 39th overall by the Milwaukee Bucks, marking his entry into professional basketball.
Born on February 27, 1984, in Durham, Noel is a United States citizen who attended the Southern School of Energy and Sustainability before going on to study at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His collegiate experience at Chapel Hill preceded his selection by Milwaukee in the 2006 draft, where he was taken with the 39th overall pick. In addition to his career as a basketball player, Noel has also worked as a basketball coach.
Noel currently serves as an assistant coach for the Greensboro Swarm of the NBA G League. His background encompasses both playing and coaching, and his present position with the Greensboro Swarm reflects the dual nature of a career that spans both sides of the game. That role with the Greensboro Swarm stands as the most recent concrete fact in a career that first drew public attention when he was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in 2006.
Quotes by David Noel

You've got teams sending three and four people at Tyler. Once he does get it out, we just have to do a better job of knocking down the shots.

Byron did a great job of running the floor, finishing and making some free throws. His lift off the bench gave us that extra spark that we needed.

I had high expectations for this team. I felt we could be good and we had realistic goals.

In the second half we came out and attacked more offensively and locked down on defense. We made them turn the ball over a lot more than we did. (Terry) definitely stepped up and made big shots. It was his hometown so he wanted to come up here and play good and he did.

I'm lost for words. I have no idea what's really going on with this team right now. It's kind of tough. I really don't know what to say to these guys. I don't know. It just hurts.

I knew my team needed me to step up, and at that time, I was getting some good looks. I just took them, and they went in. For the most part, that was their last run.

That's a part of my game I've been working on the last couple of days in practice. I've been trying to drive the ball more and get inside and get closer to the rim and finish stronger that way. At times we're going to have to break off the offense and send the offense running through me. That decision is going to be up to me. I'm not going to try and do too much but at the same time I'm trying to mix it up a little bit so people won't know what's coming.

It was nerve racking. But at the same time, you just want to go out and do the best that you can. For the most part, just try to stay the same player that you've been all year. Don't try to do anything over your head or try to do anything spectacular.
