For the most part, I thought our effort was much better today. We still made some mistakes and we have little margin for error, but the only way we are going to turn this around is to keep competing and giving it all of our effort.

His fastball was moving pretty well and his location was excellent. And the big thing was our defense made a lot of plays for him.

I really think we have one of the best defensive infields in the nation.

I know we keep saying this, but eventually a big win on the road will be the spark we need. We've had trouble taking care of business at home, but we've had some big wins on the road.

I'm glad we fought back. We got the offense together in (the dugout) as soon as they tied the game and said we can't change (the comeback), that we're all (upset) about what happened but we've got to get the lead back.

That makes it tough. We've been struggling to get our record above .500 all year, and it makes it tough to start the conference schedule by losing at home.

This is very frustrating. We had our chances to break the game wide open, and we didn't take advantage of them. We were doing everything right, and we just gave the game away. Give Lipscomb credit. We opened the door, and they took advantage. But, we just gave the game away.

They made some mistakes and we were able to take advantage of them. In their defense, their outfielders probably haven't seen a lot of fly balls this year, especially outside.

You need your pitchers to go out there and get three outs and give us a chance to win in the bottom of the ninth. We had a terrible mental approach today out there on the mound. Just terrible.

We didn't have a ton of hits tonight. But I'm extremely happy with how we played. We took advantage of every opportunity, and that's something that I'm very pleased with.
