Our allocation formula has allowed for a lot of paraprofessionals. Citrus county, (in comparison), has one paraprofessional for every 500 students. Yes, there are some things that are going to be different next year.

It was an oversight. What I am most concerned about is correcting it ... so we can continue with an aggressive building and construction plan.

As superintendent, I am ultimately responsible. I feel responsible.

We think paraprofessionals are invaluable. It's just a case of doing business different. We're trying to do things gradually.

I wouldn't have pursued this if I didn't believe strongly that I had no choice.
