Self-Reliance and Responsibility

"I don't see you making it to the top; nobody's going to help you get there." You have to do it all on your own. "But if you want it so bad, prove me wrong."

If it has to be done, you have to do it yourself.

If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur.

If you want a thing done well, get a couple of old broads to do it.

If you are determined enough and willing to pay the price, you can get it done.

If you want something done, ask a busy person.

Never mind the use--do it!

Sure it's a big job; but I don't know anyone who can do it better than I can.

Then get busy and find out how to do it.

The best job goes to the person who can get it done without passing the buck or coming back with excuses.

You're not going to learn how to do it until you do it.

You should be willing to do something that will take you five minutes or less for anybody.

I never knew how to do anything before I did it, really.

It takes long practice, yes. You have to work. Did you think you could snap your fingers, and have it as a gift? What is worth having is worth working for.

Then get busy and find out how to do it.

You're not going to learn how to do it until you do it.

I think you can have moderate success by copying something else, but if you really want to knock it out of the park, you have to do something different and take chances.

Overcoming Doubts and Challenges

If things didn’t work out last year doing them a certain way, you should hire someone who has done it before to teach you how to do it this year. THIS is the secret of high achievers.

I've been waiting a long time to do this. It's almost surreal. A lot of people tell you that you can't do it, but that doesn't mean that you can't keep trying and finally get it done. I was just one small part of this, believe me. I've got a special organization around me, and it all starts at the top.

That is pretty impressive, to be able to do that.

I'm doing this because I want to do it better.

I knew I could do it. I've done it a thousand times in practice.

I've been trying to get it done for a long time.

Now the only decent way to get something done is to get it done by somebody who quite likes doing it.

I thought I could do it after that second set, but no final is easy.

I don't know if I have a shot in heck in doing it, but I'm going to give it a try.

That's pretty bad. That's not going to get it done. That's just a lack of focus.

Nine times of not getting it done and to finally get it done in this way, is awesome.

Collaboration and Support

This is dying - I know because I've done it before.

And I certainly don’t need a boy to show me how to do it.

I had a guy call me last week about it, and it looks pretty good. I talked to the guys and they want to do it.

If you want something done, ask a busy person to do it.

They've done it two out of three. I want them to do it three out of four.

I still have another couple of duos that I'm working on, ... I really would like to finish that ASAP and get it out.

This is my first time to try something like this, and I admit I was a little nervous. Now that I know I can do this locally and not at a great expense, I really hope it is something my wife and I can continue to do together as we get older.

I'm just at this point really just trying to finish up and do a great job and hold it together and just take it as it comes.

I have a bunch of guys who want to get it done.

I thought, 'well might as well do it,' even though I don't know how to run it. We were good buddies and figured we'd do it together. It's easier to do it with two people.

It just goes to show you that not anyone can make it, but it's definitely worth a try. It's tough work and these guys work their butts off.

... nothing is well done nor worth doing unless, take it all round, it has come pretty easily.

If it must be done, it's best done bravely.

Well done is quickly done

There is a huge cost of doing it the right way, ... We could have done this less expensively, but I wanted it done right.

Ideally you want to do this once, and do it right.

I don't feel rushed to figure myself out. I have all the time in the world to do that.

However you get it done. It doesn't make a difference.

There's more to it than just being the first one done.

You've got to do it all, the physical as well as the skilful.

The best job goes to the person who can get it done without passing the buck or coming back with excuses.

I like to see how I can do it for less money.

Time Management and Prioritization

The bottom line on this job is easy, ... If I do it right this Sunday, they'll let me come back and do it again next Sunday.

If you have the time and money, a week or two of total immersion is the ideal solution.

even if you want to do it if the situition doesnt need it, it cant be done.

We have done this for two years now and it has always been very successful and professionally done.

I didn't plan on doing this one, but my wife wanted to do it because it's local. So, I decided to do it with her.

You can get mixed up there in a couple of spots. I've done it myself.

I can give that type of effort every night. I know I'm capable of it. I've got to put it all together.

It sounds superficially appealing, but if you think about it for 30 seconds it's a ridiculous plan.

I used to do it myself, but it's not like it used to be. Every year there's something new, and it doesn't pay to get it fouled up.

I hope somebody has a tape of it, so I can get to see how I did.

And so not only do you have to make that work, you can't really start putting the thing together in any form because some of the shots are very short and obviously many of them take so long, you're waiting months and months and months before you can see if it's going to be working emotionally.

I just want to put this one behind me and look forward to my next outing, ... I am going to do everything possible to be ready for it.

Pretty cushy work if you can get it.

I kind of do it in my head, then I'll try pieces of it on stage and if it looks promising, I'll put it together.

You don't know how to get it done, if you don't know how to play the game.

It's one-and-done, so a lot of things would have to go your way.

Oh, boy. That's going to be a lot of fun, sitting down and get that thing done.

It's nice to be doing it in the fashion I'm doing it in. The W's matter.

For people who are willing to put in the time and effort to do this, it would definitely be worth it.

It doesn't matter what anyone thinks. The bottom line is that I didn't get it done.

That's not to say that some day I won't go outside again, but I'm having a great time working on this process.
